The series «FINGERFOOD» presents a colorful and subtly humorous exploration of emotional pain. On velvety surfaces unfolds a sequence of surreal photo collages in which fingerfood embody an absurd form of culinary art.
The finger becomes the carrier of emotional pain, a projection surface for everyday inner conflicts — the constant attempt to process painful memories and leave them behind.In a playful fusion of body and nourishment, the works negotiate the daily struggle with emotional wounds — the conscious re-experiencing and the recurring questioning, in order to ultimately reach transformation. What if emotional pain were edible? If one could simply consume and digest it like a meal?
Through the bright, luminous colors of the collages, pain and suffering are not glorified but trivialized — with a wink. They become part of everyday life, of nourishment necessary for survival — an absurd feast of inner states: disturbing and vital at once.
